How much does a home appraisal cost?
Our fees start at $370 for a condo apartment or townhouse and $475 for a detached or semi-detached house. The exact fee depends on the property and the purpose of the appraisal, and you'll have it in writing within one business day, before anything is booked.
How long does it take?
Most reports are ready 1–2 business days after the home visit. Inspections are available Monday to Saturday, and you can follow each step in our online tracker, from booking to delivery.
Can you appraise a home as of a past date?
Yes. A retrospective appraisal finds what the home was worth on a past date, such as the date of death, separation or when you moved out. We use sales from around that date and the home's condition at the time, so it can be done months or even years later.
Will the Canada Revenue Agency, a court or my lender accept the report?
Our reports are completed by appraisers designated by the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) and follow CUSPAP (Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), the professional standard the Canada Revenue Agency, courts and lenders look for. The report also names who it's for and the date of the value. If you need it for a mortgage, ask your lender first, since many lenders only accept appraisals ordered through their own approved list.
